The Honda Amigo
This past winter I purchased a PF50R Honda Amigo moped. I quickly learned that this vehicle is relatively rare in America. While I was able to find parts and service manuals, most of the reference materials and parts websites are in Dutch. It seems this model is very popular in Holland and Belgium (where mine was manufactured.)
Resources
The first big source of information in English was actually on the backup of Geocities. Facebook’s Honda Amigo Fanclub is a great source of photos and conversation for fellow Amigo owners, if you speak Dutch. There are definitely English-speakers there, but we’re the minority. The forums at 4-stroke.net were also helpful. While it seems like it’s being manned by a single person, he’s helpful and knowledgeable. I hope to see it become a stronger community as more content gets added to the site.
